History
Established in 1991
RGH Enterprises, Inc. also trading as A Better Laser Service is a privately held small minority owned company that has been in operation since 1991. In the beginning, the company was run from the home of the Owner /CEO, Ronald Hoff. In 1993, the company relocated to a 1000 square foot facility at the South Harbor Business Incubator in Baltimore, Maryland. RGH was incorporated in the state of Maryland in 1994. In August 1998 RGH graduated from the business incubator with six full-time employees and moved to a 6000 square foot facility which gradually increased to 12,000 square feet. Although the primary focus of the business was the quality remanufacturing of toner cartridges, in 1999 that focus expanded to include a full line of all office supply items including furniture and office equipment in. In October, 2007 RGH Enterprises, Inc. moved from 12,000 square feet to a 20,000 square foot facility located in a qualified Hubzone area. Today RGH has 10 full-time employees.
Meet the Business Owner: Ronald Hoff
Ron graduated with honor from Howard Community College in 1983 with an AA degree in Electronics Technology. After graduated he went to work for Wang Labs in 1983 as a field Service Technician repairing computers and printers. In 1985 he was trained and certified by Wang Labs to service and repair laser printers. Ron left Wang Labs in 1986 and work for a few other companies as their laser printer expert. His duties included traveling to other cities in the US and training other techs in laser printer repair. His last position was as Executive VP for a small computer company in San Diego where he managed the service departments in San Diego and Las Vegas.
In 1991 he started RGH Enterprises trading as A Better Laser Service. Originally the company was started in San Diego, Ca. but Ron moved the company to Baltimore after a few months to work and grow the business where he was born and is close to where he calls home.
From 1991 to present Ron as President/CEO has the task of business growth while also serving as head of Technical operations. He has attended many business building seminars for skills need to grow and manage the business while also become an HP authorized technician. These dual skills enable Ron to manage effectively and also stay up to date with all technical issues dealing with laser printer.
Ron is a true entrepreneur and workaholic having started several other businesses in the past 11 years with Real Estate investing being one of his largest next to RGH Enterprises, Inc.
